UNCTAD Investment, Enterprise and Development Commission, thirteenth session – Capital markets and sustainable development

The Commission will bring together international institutional investors, stock exchange executives, regulators and policymakers to discuss the current trends, challenges and opportunities for sustainable investment, and policy measures that can be taken by developing economies to leverage capital markets for sustainable development in the post-pandemic era. In doing so, the Commission specifically addresses the UN General Assembly resolution on “Promoting investment for sustainable development” (A/RES/74.199 and A/RES/75/207) and its request for UNCTAD to provide “concrete recommendations for the advancement of investment for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda”.
